W sklepach spożywczych w Moskwie nie brakuje niczego. Warzyw i owoców jest dużo. Najwięcej jest jabłek. Pochodzą one z Ameryki Południowej i z sadów na terenie Rosji. Wielu Moskwiczan posiada własne działki poza miastem i ma jabłka własnej produkcji.
Ekspedientka w kiosku z prasą zapytana o ceny za owoce i warzywa w sklepach najpierw stwierdziła, że nic nie uległo zmianie. Jednak po zrobieniu zakupów, następnego dnia sama stwierdziła, że ceny, głównie za owoce i warzywa w ostatnim czasie znacznie wzrosły. Sama na razie jabłek i innych owoców nie kupuje, bo ma ich pod dostatkiem z własnej daczy, a gdy one się skończą, będzie kupować tylko te pochodzące z rejonu Woroneża.
Młody człowiek zapytany o to, czym kieruje się przy zakupie jabłek powiedział, że nie zwraca uwagi na to skąd one pochodzą, bo on jada tylko ‘Granny Smith’.
Na targach żywności Rosjanie podchodzą do przedstawicieli grup poducentów owoców z Polski i mówią, że bardzo żałują, że nie ma polskich jabłek na rynku, bo bardzo im smakowały i tylko takie kupowali.
Federacja Rosyjska to wielki kraj, ze znaczną liczbą ludności. Każdy ma inne upodobania. Jednak cieszy, że są i tacy, który żałują, że nie mają dostępu do jabłek polskiej produkcji.
Ceny za jabłka w sklepach są różne. Za ‘Granny Smith’ trzeba zapłacić najmniej 69,9 rubli/kg (1 rubel= 0,084 zł), za ‘Golden Deliciousa’ 49,90 – 140 rubli/kg. Niższe ceny dotyczą jabłek określanych jako II sort. Za te „jabłka” cena oscyluje na poziomie 39,90 rubli/kg. Jabłka rodzimej produkcji, małe i niskiej jakości, w małym sklepiku mają cenę 48 rubli/kg. W sklepach są także jabłka ‘Red Delicious’ (99,9-150 rubli/kg), ‘Gala’ (79,90 rubli/kg) i Pink Lady® (99,90 – 179 rubli/kg). Za 1 kg gruszek należy zapłacić 109-179 rubli/kg. Dla porównania cytryny kosztują około 260 rubli/kg. Mimo wysokiej ceny za nie w Polsce, ta w Moskwie jest znacznie wyższa.
