Like in previous year, the number of visitors increased tremendously in 2012. Their numbers even exceeded 7,500. Many of them were international visitors. In general, the visitors are very satisfied with the trade fair and rated it with a mean average of 8.5. For 2013, growth is expected as well. Even though the organisation started the campaign for the new fair two months later, the number of registrations is already higher than a month later last year. Therefore, it is advisable to register promptly, as to not end up on the waiting list.
Major plans for 2013
2013's theme is Green Unlimited. With this theme, the organisation plays into the desire of the (international) green sector to have a professional stage where visitors and participants can get in touch with each other and exchange knowledge, experience, and products in a great atmosphere. Location is very important as well. That is why GrootGroenPlus 2013 is held in the tree nursery area Zundert. The trade fair will move to a new location; the next five years, it will be held on the event terrain at Molenstraat 155 in Zundert. This location offers growth possibilities and helps with the board's ambition to increase the number of participants and remove boundaries. Of course, this location will also be decorated professionally and it will also have an innovative Inspiration and Innovation Square. This square will offer the latest developments within the tree nursery sector. Modern means will be used to present the latest novelties and inspirational items. The program of the trade fair will be very light, exciting, and interesting. On Thursday, after the fair closes down, there will be a special networking event for participants. They usually do not get the chance to catch up.
Trade press
During 2013's edition, also many (international) journalists will be present. Previous editions were attended by journalists from for example the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Finland, France, United Kingdom, Poland, Russia, and Norway. That is why special company visits will be organised to companies in the Zundert area. There will also be a special pressroom. This pressroom can be used to inform the press regarding innovations and activities. The organisation has once again made a large budget available for a Press coordinator, who can answer questions, guide the press tour, and create general press releases and daily news messages.
Permanent location
A more professional trade fair, increase of the number of participants and visitors, and a high ranking spot on the list of tree nursery trade fairs in Europe, also means that the possibility of a permanent location might become reality in the near future. This strengthens the position of the trade fair as an international event that cannot be missed by professionals from the green sector.
