W trakcie Konferencji Czereśniowej, która odbędzie się 26 stycznia 2017 r. w Sandomierzu (w ramach 26. Spotkania Sadowniczego Sandomierz) wystąpią z wykładami eksperci z Uniwersytetu Bolońskiego (UNIBO).
Na temat zakładania intensywnego sadu czereśniowego oraz różnych technik sadzenia i prowadzenia drzew opowie dr Sara Bellelli. Przedstawi także najnowsze wyniki doświadczeń dotyczace systemów osłon w uprawie czereśni. Sara Bellelli jest członkiem zespołu badawczego dr. Stefano Lugli, który od lat prowadzi jedne z najbardziej innowacyjnych badań nad czereśniami w Europie. Wyniki doświadczeń dr Sary Bellini będą po raz pierwszy pokazane publicznie gronu sadowników właśnie podczas 26 Spotkania Sadowniczego w Sandomierzu.
Dr Sara Bellelli prowadzi badania w ramach grantu na temat genetycznego ulepszania czereśni oraz innowacji technologicznych w uprawie tego gatunku.
Wykład poświęcony nowym odmianom czereśni przedstawi dr Marco Bertolazzi. Seria ‘Sweet’ to 6 odmian wyhodowanych na Uniwersytecie Bolońskim. Wprowadzenie ich do produkcji daje sadownikom szansę na zapwnienie długotrwałej podaży owoców o wysokiej jakości (odmiany dojrzewają po sobie, co pozwala na ciągły zbiór i sprzedaż owoców). Nowowyhodowane czereśnie mają owoce o bardzo zbliżonym do siebie wyglądzie i jakości (rozmiar >28 mm, zawartość cukrów >18 Brix, kwasowość > 8 g/l, jędrność >0,40 kg). Są to: Sweet Aryana, Sweet Lorenz, Sweet Gabriel, Sweet Valina, Sweet Saretta, Sweet Stephany.
Marco Bertolazzi pracuje w dziale upowszechniania wiedzy na Uniwersytecie Bolońskim, odpowiedzialny jest za zarządzanie nowymi odmianami i ich markami, a także odpowiada za odczytywanie potrzeb rynku.
